to some great sailing this year. We've been very busy over the last few
months doing some major maintenance on Eccolan.

The
Yacht
"Eccolan" is a custom Moody 58 ketch, licensed to take 12 guests +
crew on day charters in the Solent. The yacht is also available for weekend
sailing for individuals and small groups. Boat

Maintenance
In
January, Eccolan was lifted out for annual hull cleaning and antifouling.
We then took the boat across to Cowes, for Spencer Rigging to replace
all the standing rigging (stainless steel) and most of the running rigging
(ropes). See

While the masts were out, we took the opportunity to replace all the electrical
cabling and fittings for lights and aerials. We've even added a "Windex"
indicator for you dinghy sailors!
We've (mainly Gordon...) also rebuilt our generator and serviced all the
winches onboard including replacement motor gearbox for the anchor windlass.
As some of you know Eccolan's sails do work for their living... we took
the decision to replace the last two original sails in the wardrobe, so
Shore Sails of Swanwick are currently making a replacement mainsail and
mizzen sail - I'm sure we'll appreciate nice, clean, flatter sails!
There's been a lot of deck scrubbing and polishing, so Eccolan should
be ready the next time you see her...
