The Birthplace of British Motorsport and Aviation 15th-17th June - Brooklands Museum Centenary Festival including: demonstrations by original Brooklands cars and motorcycles, re-enactment of 1907 opening cavalcade, air display and much more This June, its time to go back to where it all began. The place where Britain created the worlds first purpose built racing circuit. Achieved its first world land speed record. First learned to conquer flight. And first realised the dream of supersonic passenger travel. "Brooklands, the true home of British racing and aviation, turns 100 years old on 17th June. To celebrate, the Brooklands Museum is hosting a breathtaking weekend festival on 16th and 17th June to commemorate a century of speed and courage. From giant pre-war racers and motorcycles to the latest grand prix cars, fabric-and-wire biplanes to Concorde, hundreds of the most famous Brooklands machines will return to bring the famous banked circuit back to life. And we want you to be at the centre of it all" |
